In Focus

Coordinating fabrics frame a favourite print, bringing it into focus in a quick, simple block.  Setting the blocks side by side creates the illusion of sashing without the extra work. To emphasize the illusion of whimsical wonky sashing, make the frames in two coordinating prints in the same color family.  Choosing two contrasting fabrics for the frame will emphasize diagonals lines of blocks instead. Some strip piecing reduces cutting and sewing time.  The pattern is beginner-friendly and includes throw (56.5” x 68.5”), twin (68.5” x 92.5”) and queen (92.5” x 92.5”) sizes.
