Same Pattern, Different Look

Magnitudes

Milky Way

Using the Magnitudes pattern, we replaced all the white with assorted blue scraps, and made both sashing and block backgrounds from white scraps for a totally different quit without any new math! We learned to make a scallopped border to dress it up, too.

Mixing it up!

We enlarged an applique from KLee 2Strings's Buddies Project Trio pattern to personalize our easy Sprinkled quilt for a special dog-loving friend.

We would love to see our Blaze pattern made into a winter quilt using our paper pieced snowflakes to replace the leaves.

Double Duty Fabric Selection

All the effort made to choose 25 fabrics for Wandering Geese can do double duty. If you plan ahead using this guide before you cut into them, those 25 quarter-yard cuts can also supply the backgrounds and center of the 12 star blocks in a throw size Magnitudes.

Vary the Fabrics

There are so many ways to make this one! Change the fabric style, play with different quilting plans. If you'd like to make the background the scrappy colorful part as I did in the blue one, check out this blog post.
